Pakistan, 1990 - I hitch-hiked from London to India via Iran & Pakistan ... and on that border, I got a ride in a truck - driven by a young German heading to Kathmandu - across the desert badlands of Baluchistan for 3 days to the provincial capital of Quetta, and then I traveled solo to Sukkur, Hyderbad, Multan and Lahore - where, I was robbed by the hotel staff while bed-ridden with dysentery ... to later meet-up with my then-girlfriend in India (6 weeks after leaving London).
