2001 | Burma (Myanmar) - I had 3 weeks leave from my UN job in East Timor so I mostly flew around to max my time in Rangoon, Bagan, Mandalay, Mingun, Mount Popa, Lake Inle and the Golden Rock Pagoda, travelling with a beautiful local woman, who to the authorities posed as my tour guide. NOTE: the friendly people & stunning beauty of Burma are imprisoned by a brutal military regime.
