Antarctic scapes

I was lucky to get a discounted last-hour ship voyage from southern Argentina to Antarctica over New Year 2003, which meant penguins, whisky & iceberg ... on a Russian Arctic research ship decked out for a small-ish group of tourists. In 11 days we had 14 zodiac - land excursions to the Peninsula and islands during the constant 22-hours of daylight over the summer.
